Path of the Bourguignons’valley
From Marguerittes, 1,9km, easy, elevation :100m. Thanks to this path, go back the history to discover old constructions in dried stones very typical from the Gard region, cross the olive tree conservatoire with Picholine, Négrette, Lucques, Aglandau and Tanche varieties, and learn more about their uses and characteristics. Thanks to information boards, discover this patrimony all along this path. An orientation table will give you a large view of the place. The olive variety conservatoire in La Valette du Var. La Valette du Var has always been a fruitful land. A land of flourishing agriculture, planted of vineyards and olive trees, as the numerous terraces along the hillsides testify it. Carefully restored and well-kept by the association “Les Amis du Coudon”, these terraces made in dried stones are visible on the entire conservatoire. This is the charming element of the place; entirely reserved to walkers, olive trees, cists and almond trees share the space. Installed on 6 ares in La Grande Cabane area, the Conservatoire was created in 1995. The place is open to everyone and widened its activity to other typical Mediterranean species. Discover the 78 olive trees and many restored constructions typical of the local patrimony. The access is simple: follow the white and red marks !
